Meet The Founder

Serene Stevens, MSEd

Serene Stevens began her Early Childhood journey in

1999 as an Assistant Teacher in a Mommy and Me

Program. Since then she has held titles such as Certified

Head Teacher, Education Director, Assistant Program

Director, Director of Early Childhood Programs, and Early

Childhood Leadership Coach.

In 2007, she earned her Masters Degree in Early

Childhood. She has been certified by NAEYC as a TTAP Coach of Early Childhood Teachers and Leaders as well as an Early Childhood Professional Development Specialist. 

She is a mother of three children (born in 2002, 2006, and 2013).

In 2018, she founded My Sweet Pea and Me with the

vision to share her experience as both an educator and a

parent in the hopes of shedding light on the importance

of a child’s early years and how the adults in their world

can impact their growth and development through

positive, intentional, and impactful experiences.
